The 6th Rune in the Elder Futhark is Kenaz. Kenaz means torch, and is a symbol for knowledge and wisdom - the light that carries us forward.
"Keep open to what is possible. Life is only an adventure."
What are your thoughts about Kenaz? Who has been your teacher/mentor, and how did you know it was time to carry your own torch?
Or - perhaps the time is now.

Welcome to 100 Ways. This is your daily exploration of self and soul. I'm your host and fellow explorer, Laura Christine. Let's dive in and find our way home. Happy Odin's day and happy. Number six in the rune series. We are at Kainos. Kainos K E N a Z. Is the reminder that you have everything you need within you. And it is gained from seemingly internal and seemingly external sources. The reason I'm saying. Seemingly as, because everything is one. And what is within his, without what is without is within. However, we definitely see some things to be external and some things to be internal. It is truly all one. I titled this episode. Knowledge and wisdom. Knowledge. Kind of representing that external. Aspect and wisdom representing the internal aspect. day, one of my meditation's revealed. This is a free flowing forward. From this point on it's an opening, expanding energy. Every moment of life adds to life. It adds new wisdom, knowledge and experience. And as a flashlight or a torch expands from the point of light. So life expands from each moment. Lighting the way forward. I really love that. And I have nothing to add. But here is day two. The future is greater than the past. By which I mean, it's more expanded. This goes without saying, but it's important to remember everything in life. Is a lesson. Life itself is a big lesson, made up of a string of lessons. Trust the knowledge you have gained. Let knowledge become wisdom. And it will lead you to greater and greater things. Knowledge comes from experience and others. Wisdom comes from learning. The lessons. Day number three. Knowledge can act as a central grounding point, but only takes you so far from here now where. How far can you expand? How can you apply your knowledge and transform it into wisdom? How can you live it? Who can you find to help you? We are not meant to be here alone. We gain so much through mentorship, through friendship, through relationships. Who is that person that. You can look to as a source of knowledge, that will transform into wisdom. Day number four, wherever you are. There is more always a student of life. Always be a student of life. When the student is ready, the teacher appears this teacher comes in any form. The lesson may be challenging or easy. But if you're learning it, you're ready for it. Humility. Is both student N teacher's best friend. That was a powerful phrase. I'm really feeling that one in my body humility is both a student and a teacher's best friend. Be aware of the quote-unquote teachers or quote-unquote students who lack humility. I wouldn't say that it's necessarily a negative thing. It's. A process that they're moving through. I definitely have spent. Significant amounts of time, especially as a student without humility. That said as a teacher, I might be blind to the fact that I might not have the humility that I wish that I had or want to have, or. Think that I have. I also don't necessarily categorize myself as a teacher. But other people have. So following. Following that. I definitely want to stay mindful. To remain humble. I am always a student of life, always, and a student of those around me. The number five. Again, we didn't come here to do it alone. The teacher outside of doing his or her job will lead you to the greatest of teachings. Which is the one inside. Either way seeking outside counsel and instruction is prompted by the one who is seeking. Outside learning, meaning actively learning from a mentor or a teacher. As no less valuable than sitting in meditation and trying to figure it out alone. Most times it is better. Because to then our learning and adding to the collective awareness. We are always ever both learning. And teaching. Day number six. Seek to learn from a teacher, but seek the lessons within no one can hold the light for you as well as you can. For yourself. You are the gudu. Learn skills and knowledge from others, gain wisdom and understanding through your own experience of putting what you learn into practice. This is the way of the true gudu. Which is you. Practice practice the lessons you learn. Day number seven. Your value is less and what you already know and more, and how open you are to learning. Okay. That's another big chill. Your value. Okay. We can go into a whole tangent here on how. You are already. As valuable as you ever are and ever will be. And. We're going to look at it in this light now. Your value is less in what you already know, or I could say there is less value in what you already know. And more and how open you are to learning. New ideas, curiosities. These are valuable. As life keeps moving forward. It is best to follow suit. Knowing too much is a recipe for disaster for it closes us to new potentials and information. I keep open to what is possible. Life is only an adventure. Oh, life is only an adventure. Oh my God. So true. The number eight. When someone else holds the torch for you, you are limited by them. Learn what you need to learn and body all you can embody and accept the torch. When it is time, it is better to hold your own torch and to let it Brighton on your way then to continue relying on the torch of another, when it is time to take up your own torch, take it. Oh, my goodness. Yes, there does come a point in time when the teacher has given you what the teacher has needed to give you. And it's. Your turn now to take up that torch. And hold your own. Let go of the teacher. The teacher's always been within. Day number nine. The whole point is to pass the torch. Or to hold the torch until the student develops her own and then light her torch. It is not to hold onto knowledge or wisdom, but to participate. Actively and the evolution and expansion of humankind. It is not so much. You are simply holding a torch. You be the torch. Sorry numb. Sutton, um, truth inform sought. Nom you are the torch. Be the torch. And what are your thoughts about those? How do you view wisdom? How do you view knowledge? And how do you view the evolution? What teacher has brought you to what point. And. How did you know you were ready or do you know you're ready or are you still wondering if you'll ever be ready to let go of that teacher and stand on your own? Burying your own torch until you become a torchbearer for others. This doesn't have to be anything formal. We teach because we live. Share your thoughts with me?
